WHO WE ARE
Freedom in Christ church is a non-denominational body of Christian believers joined together by the common cause of love for God and passion to serve Him while loving each other and sharing the good news of His love with all people. Our goal is to lovingly assist others in finding and experiencing freedom in Jesus Christ as we ourselves endeavor to become spiritually mature Christians.
As we represent Jesus Christ, we strive to always represent Him with love, “be quick to listen, slow to speak, slow to be come angry,” remain faithful to Scripture and to love God above all things.
A culturally and racially diverse body of mature Christian disciples who
through the power of Holy Spirit see the world through the eyes of Jesus Christ, “living” our faith, worshipping God, fulfilling the purpose of “the church”
and eagerly looking forward to the return of Jesus Christ.
God loves all people, regardless of who they are or what they may or may not have done and He desires everyone to experience His love forever! We are tools used by God in fulfilling His desire.
We are not limited by geographical location or human abilities because we fully depend upon God’s power working in and through us to reveal His love and the good news of Jesus Christ to all people.
Pastor John Nelson has earned his under grad B.A. Degree in sociology and his Master of Arts degree in Theology. He is our Senior Pastor and the founding pastor of Freedom In Christ Church.
Pastor John has a great love for all people and believes that the local church must focus on worshiping and loving God, finding people who have not heard of Jesus Christ and sharing the good news of His salvation with them; encouraging and assisting
believers to become spiritually mature and tangibly demonstrate God’s great love in their everyday living toward all people.
Pastor John strongly proclaims that “faith,” to be meaningful and helpful in this life, must be expressed in everyday living via trusting God completely. “How we live and relate to God and others on an everyday basis is strongly indicative of not only our faith, but also our definition of who God is.This faith and trust must be executed in complete harmony with God’s Word without compromise.”
